Burka Gudina Estate is a privately owned coffee farm in the Limmu Kosa woreda (district) in Ethiopia's Jimma zone. It is owned by Ibrahim Hussein, who fell in love with coffee as a young boy.
On this beautiful farm, coffee is grown under the shade of acacia trees, which gives more control over the ripening of the coffee.
This particular coffee is dark, dense and rich, showing blackberry & mulberry characteristics, leading to a punchy sangria flavour. Toffee & caramel come next, finishing with a rich cacao coating on the tongue. Dark & intense as a black coffee, there is lots of punch to cut through milk here as well. Amazing!
