Riverdale Estate's Peach Co-Ferment Anaerobic is the first in our line of fruit fermented coffee and there is a lot to be excited about here.
Riverdale Estate has been growing coffee in the Shavroy Hills of Southern India since 1920, and now with the three generations of farmers, producing amazing coffee. In 2005 Prakashan Balaraman took over the operations of the farm and put huge efforts into a focus on specialty coffee. We all get to enjoy the fruits of his labour!
This very special coffee is fermented in bags, tightly packed with peaches for 72 hours, before sun-dried on raised beds for 25 days. The result is an amazingly complex coffee. As you would expect, big and varied peach notes, accentuated by a peaky acidity, complex sweetness with cheesecake and pastry tones, and an incredibly juicy mouthfeel.
It's adventurous, but an amazing cup.
